Bifocal/Near & Far

In your early forties?  No worries.  There are still great options to address Presbyopia. Presbyopia or the gradual loss of near sight vision.  Generally this affects people over the age of forty.  And it's perfectly normal & natural.  Today there are two types or correcitve contact lenese for presbyopia.

  • Multi-Focal lenses have two prescriptions in one lens.  One part of the contact lens corrects for distance and the other corrects for near vision.  Some options inculde ACUVUE OASYS for Presbyopia, Bausch & Lomb PureVision Multifocal and CooperVision Proclear Multifocal.
  • Monovision lenses correct one eye for distance and the other for near focus.  Your brain determines which eye works for what you are viewing.  These usually takes a little to get used to.
